
Dr. Tillett graduated from Portland State University. He received his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from The University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now Des Moines University), in Des Moines, Iowa. He then moved to Texarkana, Texas where he completed a comprehensive residency in foot and ankle surgery. He then moved back to his home city of Portland, Oregon to complete one of the top two-year training programs in the nation, where he worked along side the Residence of Legacy hospital’s and Emanuel’s level I Trauma center, in conjunction with extensive advanced surgical training through a partnership with Kaiser Hospital Systems.
After residency, Dr. Tillett established Portlands premier Ankle and Foot Centers by opening a practice just south of the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) campus in the community of Hillsdale (across Capitol Highway from Wilson High School’s Stadium.
Within the first year of his flourishing practice, he took over the “Downtown Foot Clinic” on the corner of South 6th Ave, and Alder (located in the Portland Medical Office.
Dr. Tillett is board certified in foot surgery through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a diplomate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also a member of both the Oregon and American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). In fact, he has represented the APMA as a spokes person on several occasions to the press and had the opportunity to award the Mayor and City Council of Portland the award on behalf of “Prevention Magazine” and the American Podiatric Medical Association” an award for Portland being voted “The Number One Walking City” in the United States.
He has worked in the area’s premiere hospitals in the city for over the past decade and is currently serving his 3 (third) consecutive term as the “Section Chair” (Chief of Podiatry) for Legacy Emanuel and Good Sam hospitals respectively.
Dr. Tillett has given lectures on foot and ankle conditions and surgery around the country and been published on multiple occasions as an expert, representing the American Podiatric Medical Association and his profession He is pleased to be serving the people of Oregon and surrounding areas.
